WHO WE ARE: THE ONLY COMPANY IN AMERICA  SERVING PRE-KINDERGARTEN THRU 12TH GRADE STUDENTS FOR OVER ALMOST A DECADE WITH THE EXPRESSED PURPOSE  OF DELIVERING COLLEGE FUNDING SCHOLARSHIP RESULTS TO OUR CLIENT FAMILIES AT THE END OF THEIR TIME WITH US BY UTILIZING THE EXCLUSIVE "$CHOLAR$HIP JUMP$TART"  SYSTEM AS PART OF AN OVERALL, COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH TO STREAMLINING & MAXIMIZING ALL PARTS OF THE COLLEGE PREPARATION, ADMISSIONS, & FUNDING PROGRAM  FOR OUR STUDENT-CLIENTS.

The bottom line is that...............................

"WORKING WITH US MAKES COLLEGE CO$T LE$$" !!!

FAQ:

1.) "What do you do? "

At N2College we provide a high energy, effective, & upbeat  program approach to Families of College-Bound Students to assist them with Early & 'On-Time' preparation to maximize the amount of merit-based funding that their student can potentially be awarded to decrease their cost of attending college.

2.) "How does participating in your program benefit Parents and Guardians of the students?"

We have been most commonly told that we "reduce the stress" typically involved with the college admissions & scholarship application processes so that parents can sleep at night, and that we "take the guesswork out" of the whole process for Families, since our program is outcome-based and aligned to state and national "best practices" standards--With over (8) years of actual "in the field" focus group testing completed across the country!

We see ourselves as partners with the home-based parent/guardian all working in concert for the benefit of the student throughout this time. Parent/Guardians are just asked to maintain the same oversight of this all-important process with their student as they already exercise in other areas of his/her life.

3.) "What ages/grades do you serve?"

Pre-Kindergarten thru 12th Grade, and more limited enrollment for Current College/ 2- & 4-year Transfers/ Graduate & Professional School/Adult- 1st Time Entry & Returning/Career Prep & Transition

4.) "What is the name of your  preparation program?"

"$cholar$hip Jump$tart" is the name of the program that The Lord led me to begin developing in late 1998, although I realize now that many aspects of it had been "in the works" in my life for many years prior to that.
The name implies the MOST critical aspect research shows is needed for the greatest access, retention, & completion rates for the majority of those students who wish to attend college nationally:

They have to be able to pay for it.

Getting accepted --and accepted unconditionally --is GREAT...............BUT, if  a student can't stay and complete his or her degree program of choice on their campus due to their inability to cover all costs associated with obtaining a degree in addition to tuition & books.............It doesn't help them, the economy, or our society as a whole.

5.) "How are the Pre-K-12th Grade Students divided for service & why ?"

Great question!

Based on  our years of research, revision, and experience as to how the colleges/universities & outside merit-based scholarship providers themselves categorize students for awards purposes, we have adopted the "8-2-2-1" Model.

The "$cholar$hip Jump$tart" Client Program Divisions look like this:

  • Pre-Kindergarten thru 7th Grade Completers-- "College Kid$" Division
  • 8th thru 9th Grade Completers-- "Jump$tart Junior" Division
  • 10th thru 11th Grade Completers-- "Jump$tart Complete" Division
  • Rising 12th thru 12th Grade Graduates--"Jump$tart Condensed" Division

6.) "Isn't it enough to have good grades and ACT/SAT score? Won't scholarships take care of themselves      for those students?"

Many of what typically were considered "auto-offers" (automatic) are now no longer offered to students. This is in large part to smaller returns of interest on scholarship endowment funds and shrinking higher education funding allocated to campuses by their states in many parts of the country. While the "Jump$tart" Program certainly DOES include helpful and step-by-step advising and coaching for our Student-Clients for their  thorough research of all opportunities of this type on their campuses of interest, what we are here to do is to  help ensure that our N2C Student-Clients are PREPARED to be able to SUCCESSFULLY COMPETE for the greater MAJORITY of  Merit-Based scholarship awards that are offered..................If there are 400 qualified applicants and  the selection committee can prioritize their Top 30 in order to award a maximum of (18) overall scholarships, we want OUR Student-Clients to be the 1st of those (18) !!

7.) "How much time does your program take weekly ?"

The short answer: "It is up to you!"

Since this is an independent distance ed program that is conducted online with an Authorized Adult supervising at home & then fully supported through our Professional Advising & Coaching Team, this answer will be as varied as each of our Student-Clients! Students who are "behind", at grade-level, and those who are "advance" all have built-in options with our "$cholar$hip Jump$tart"  to do as MUCH as they wish as they progress throughout the process in order to glean the MAXIMUM benefit.............It is only limited by how MUCH money you hope to earn to pay for your Student's college education  !

To that end, we provide a very specific Annual Master Program Calendar that breaks down what needs to be done and turned in to us (for unlimited Staff Review for those Student-Clients who choose that plan option)--by month/semester/grade-level-- so that there is NEVER a question about "when to do what" within each (30) day program time-frame...........Some of our Client Families choose to utilize a daily system versus a weekly or bi-weekly approach, or create something entirely unique to them! We know that YOU know what works best in your household, and we provide Family  Schedule Planning activities included in your information that we are available to assist you with in finding the PERFECT selection for YOUR Student, schedule, and home!

8.) "In spite of the recent national economic downturn, grant forms still show --on paper, at least-- that our Family makes too much money for our student to qualify for aid. Can your program and company still help us?"

Absolutely !

Remember, what is one of our MAJOR distinctions from other college planning services is that our GOAL is to help you get your Student's/s' overall program PAID for, to the greatest degree possible ! Although some do, MOST of our Client Families do not qualify for partial or full need-based aid................Since we built our innovative program around  a COMPREHENSIVE plan to INCREASE & MAXIMIZE the amount of MERIT-based aid that so many students leave on the table, we are successful to a MUCH greater degree in helping your student attain money that is NOT related to your household income!

9.) "Do you work with our student's elementary/middle/high school staff?"

We'd love to!

As a former School Guidance Counselor and classroom teacher on the secondary and 2- & 4- year levels, Jill knows the importance of collaboration and assuming a "Best Practices" approach so that there is a "Triangle of a Team" ( You, N2College Advising Team, & Your Student's School linked together to form a support wall around your Student) in place  to help support the Student during and throughout this exciting process of college admission and funding preparation and competition. In the cases where it is not possible for the school to work directly with N2College, with your approval, then our program is already developed to run in an efficient and time-effective manner with you and your Student in order to still gain the maximum amount of funding benefit for him/her.
